Eating disorders are not something to joke around with. They come in all different forms, and females are not the only ones who suffer with an eating disorder. Males can also suffer from eating an eating disorder. Our society has built up this idea that "perfection" can be achieved, when in truth looking perfect is a goal that will never be reached. Magazines, movies, billboards, etc have special technology that allows them to airbrush a person's body or change the shape of their body. It's sad to me that they can get away with it because that shows us to not appreciate who we truly are, and what we have to offer. We are all unique and special, and that's what should be represented. I included sites to help people who are suffering from an eating disorder, and to let them know they are not alone. There is a link to an explanation of all different forms of eating disorders, a directory to look up help in your area, a link to do body calculations to let you know where you should be in weight, and tips on healthy eating and what happens to your body if you don't get the nutrients you need. We've all picked at how we look, but how about we start appreciating and loving ourselves for the people we are. I think it's worth a shot.
